NEW START

The original reason for making this trip was to make some memories. 
No one knows what is around the corner; so why wait?

As we plan to drive from Liverpool to the Mediterranean and back, a journey of
over 2200 miles, in our tiny city cars, we thought: why not try to raise some funds
for charity too? 
​ 
We could have supported many charities, but one really stands out: New Start. 
This charity holds a special place in our hearts because of its impact on our
amazing friend, Ellis, his journey with cystic fibrosis, and
the life-saving transplant he received.
 
New Start is a charity that provides vital financial support to the heart and lung transplantation programme at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester. 
It is one of only five centres in the UK offering these life-saving procedures.  It provides state-of-the-art on-site facilities, cutting-edge equipment, and
world-class clinical care.

It is the kind of place that makes a real difference when it matters most and has a profound impact on the lives of many, including Ellis. 
 
Ellis was lucky enough to get a life-saving operation, which, along with the best care from his wife, Sarah, massively improved his quality of life. 
​
Tragically, he passed away not so long ago, and it knocked us for six. 
 
We wouldn't trade the time we had with Ellis for anything, and now we hope to give others more time through your support.
