WHAT ARE WE DRIVING
With the title of 'Abarth Racing,' it is pretty apparent what vehicles we will be using for our epic adventure - a Transit van! Oh, and there is the odd Abarth 500 thrown in the mix for good measure. See below for a breakdown of our steeds!!!
Car 1
Team: Dirty Martini
The daft idea that started the whole project. This will be based on the legendary Lancia Delta Martini Racing rally car; the Abarth will be resplendent in the famous red, blue, and sky blue stripes, along with era-appropriate sponsors and our fundraising logo. Worldy!
Car 2
Team: Just Please Squint
This will be based loosely on the classic John Player Special JPS race cars, it is what we imagine an officially sponsored Abarth car would look like. A clever name change to reflect the shonky nature of the work we have done to the car. This car puts the Special in JPS...
Car 3
Team: Fauxrrari
The baby Italian sportster is resplendent in Ferrari colours. Rosso red paint and glorious gold alloys are set off with tricolour stripes across the bonnet and sides. It's a vision of Italian chic.
Car 4
Team: Get In The Back
In a rally full of Abarths, be a Ford Kuga! This hero will be kitted out in full A-Team colours. All that is missing is an emergency arc welder, a complete set of workshop tools, and a couple of tons of angle iron to create a tank in an auld shed. I pity the fool that crosses this bad boy.
