235 A DAFT IDEA

In an effort to keep the cash rolling in, I've tried to get a bit creative. I have written the usual fundraising messages and created a cartoon of Lisa and me next to our little car. But the latest tool to try to entertain in the hope of raising a few quid was the most difficult.

You know the text crawl at the beginning of Star Wars films which acts as a bit of a recap and sets the scene for the next part of the story? I decided to do one of them for our trip.

Now, the obvious question is "Why?" as neither the trip nor the car scheme has anything to do with Star Wars. That is indeed a good question, one I wish I had a good answer for, but I don't. I like the idea and went with it.

Behold the magnificence of the Monte Carlo or Bust: Black Forest Gateau crawl. After a few rewrites, I think it comes across pretty well! A couple of people messaged me to say they enjoyed it and that it made them laugh, which was the whole point.

As in many parts of this adventure, the reason for doing it is not really obvious, but it is interesting and entertaining (I think). Anyway, click on the image above to watch the fruits of my efforts.
