00 A SITE FOR SORE EYES...

If you are reading this, I've managed to cobble together a little website for our European adventure in 2025. 

Last night, I started wrangling with the Wix interface to create a nice, basic website to marshall my thoughts and use as our online presence for potential future fundraising. 

The problem with using Wix is that it is incredibly slow. 

Want to change the layout? Click on the section you want to change and then wait a minute for something to happen. In the meantime, don't forget to turbo-click like an impatient teenager until the section highlights, and then watch it flash like the lights at a rave as it finally catches up with all the requests. At this point, get frustrated and close the window…which doesn't respond as the computer is dealing with all the unnecessary requests. Lose your temper and force quit the browser. Repeat. 

I gave up in a huff and went to bed, irritated.  

The next day, I had a moment of clarity and tried the procedure using Chrome instead of Safari. What a difference!  Okay, so it isn't lightning-quick, but it was suddenly usable. I could make changes more quickly, which was a positive, but it then made it obvious that I didn't know what I was doing!!!

Anyhoo, here we are.  Depending on when you read this, it could be version 1 of the site.  If it is months after I wrote this, it could be version 2, 3, or 26!
