138 WELL BALANCED...

The lovely guys at Liverpool Mobile Tyres have just been out to balance my front wheels.  As they had the Abarth jacked up, they said they would balance all four wheels at no extra cost, which was really good of them.

They were great on the phone when I rang them, arranged a visit at my convenience, arrived on time and went the extra mile to ensure I was happy - I can't recommend them enough.  Best of all, they fixed the weird knocking noise from the passenger side front wheel - YAAAS!!!

So now my car has new shiny wheels that fill the arches much better, making her look better…from a distance. 

The alloys need to be refurbished, but they must wait as they cost £80 a corner.  I'm happy with the stance and the lovely Pirelli P Zero Nero's it is sitting on.

It isn't all good, though.  The new rims are bigger, meaning there is less tyre between it and the tarmac, which is great for going around corners on B roads but means that going over a cat's eye results in a shattered spine and all your teeth being rattled out.  

Still, it is worth putting up with the discomfort to see the look on the face of the helmet driving an inch from my bumper as I change direction like a housefly to ease around a tight corner while they are stamping on the brakes and sawing at the steering wheel trying to stay out of a hedge.
