145 EXCITED SUMMER CLEAN...

Now that we are officially participants in the 2026 Black Forest Gateau Bust Rallies event, I have a renewed vigour for the whole daft scheme. I'm back in worrying/planning mode, thinking about things like where to source ultra-magnetic stickers, who is driving, who will meet us at the end for a holiday, where we will stay, and on and on. I want to say I'm stressed out about it, but secretly I love it.

The great news is that Richie and Rachel have signed up, so there will be three carloads of idiots making the journey next year - many opportunities for mirth and merriment, even if we don't mingle with the other competitors (I'm sure we will!).

The bad news is that Dave and Jacky can't go; they already have commitments. There will likely be no show from Team: Fauxrarri (unless someone else signs up and decides to use the name). I'm properly gutted they aren't coming.

I've been sending messages to our other friends who wouldn't be driving but could see themselves on a sun lounger with a cocktail next to a pool overlooking the Mediterranean. Let's get together for a few drinks to discuss the details and see if they're coming.

My newfound enthusiasm has spread to armcob.com, which has been given a spring clean. I've updated the Welcome screen, along with all the section headers, to tidy up the spelling and grammar. I've also given the Charity page a once-over, which, reading it back, gave me a lump in my throat again.

Hopefully, our venture will raise some money and help someone else who needs it. Miss you, Ellis.
