157 HEY I WAS WALKING MY BAG...

I bought something from Etsy the other day, and the site showed me all the items that I'd marked in the past, no doubt hoping I'd jump in and treat myself to an epic Lancia Delta t-shirt - I was tempted, I can assure you. What it did was get me onto the official Martini Racing Sparco website, where I looked at their wares.

Several things jumped out at me, like officially licensed and branded sunglasses, a 'pit lane' fleece (thinking it will be cold in merry old England and at the top of a Swiss Alp), and their collection of travel bags. I shouldn't get excited about these things, but I did, especially the bag.

The plan is to stuff everything we need to dress up for the rally, along with pool wear for the villa, and some fancy clobber to wear as we pose around the harbour, sipping cocktails and eating delicious meals like the true motor racing royalty we will be. This will need some serious baggage, especially considering that Lisa took an 80-litre bag plus a carry-on for two nights away to Loch Lomond the other day!

Looking on the Sparco site, there are many rucksacks and small carry-on bags which really looked the part, but what really caught my eye was the 'Tour Trolley Bag'.

This bag is designed to carry everything the weekend racer would need, including a crash helmet, making it, in a word, cavernous.

How cavernous is it, Rob? 142 litres cavernous, that's how! A whopping 56% bigger than Lisa's current luggable. It has a massive bottom section with dividers to split items, and another section at the top with yet more dividers. Not even Lisa could fill this! But if she needs more space, matching carry-on and backpacks are available as mentioned above.

So, what is the price for all this room? Well, it isn't cheap at around £140 before P&P, but it should satisfy Lisa's need for space while also looking fabulous as part of our Martini Racing-ification of the Abarth, especially when we are bouncing around in our branded sunglasses and fleece.

One for the 'maybe' pile, I think. Click below to watch a video by Lee at LeEdFollow showing just how big it is.
