I've been trying to find a tracksuit top to take along on the trip that fits our team colours, but doesn't cost the Earth. I thought about buying an Italian-brand top and adding a couple of suitable patches to create something unique and in keeping with our 'brand'.
I found a boss, Sergio Tacchini, retro tracksuit top on one of the ever-growing number of 'Football Casual Culture' clothing websites. It was navy blue with white details - perfect for our theme. Showed Lisa, and she said she wanted something more girly, ideally in fuchsia pink to match her trainers. Sake!
But then, I found the same top in glorious 'Festival Fuscia/Maritime Blue/Gardenia' - I don't know what half of that means, but I do know that the bottom half of the top matches Lisa's Pumas perfectly - result! Then I couldn't find it in her size - sake! We decided to put the idea on the back burner and keep checking to see if it appears in her size.

While searching, I found a pink Sparco/Martini hoodie that sent me down a rabbit hole on the site, looking at the tops on offer.
I spotted a white zip-thru hoodie and showed it to Lisa. To my surprise, she said it was nice, and she would wear it! Result!
I added it to my basket and was about to check out when it suggested other items before I finished, including mad Sparco trainers, a couple of nice polo shirts, and the Sparco Martini Racing Full Zip Sweatshirt. The latter really caught my attention, to the point that I suggested it to Lisa, who said she liked it in white and would wear it on the trip.
At this point, it felt like there was a glitch in the Matrix - Lisa liking three things in a row that I suggested! I didn't hang around; the hoodie was out of the basket, and the new top was in! It is also available in navy blue, but I decided to match the boss and get it in white.
So now we have matching tracksuit tops to throw on if it is a bit chilly in the Chunnel, at the top of the Alps or out in the Atlantic Ocean. What a mad thing to say, but it could actually happen while we are away over the summer.
