211 COME IN NUMBER 27...

I received an email from Kevin at Colour Create saying he had made the changes we requested and asked us to review them. They are brilliant! Not a word of a lie, it is exactly as I imagined it when I was lying in bed, worrying about changing the design from the original with the stripes hugging the windows, to the replacement with the stripes along the door.

It is simple enough not to look over-the-top, but colourful and detailed enough to show that some real thought and craft went into it. As always, the devil is in the detail, and this is where the guys at Colour Create have played a blinder.

The 'MARTINI' logo has lost an 'i' at the end to become 'MARTIN', and the word 'Dirty' has been added to the start in a boss font to complete the team name. There is talk of covering the 'Dirty' in rhinestone gem stickers to add a bit of bling - negotiations are ongoing!!!

The car finally features the number '27', a figure that incorporates both mine and Lisa's favourite/lucky numbers.

As well as having the number on each side of the car, the guys are going to create another sticker with '27' for the bonnet, in front of the passenger. Lisa is worried it will look a bit cock-eyed, I reckon it will look, boss.

I've also sent them over the New Start logo I pilfered from their website. I've asked them to create two 100x30 mm mini stickers for the rear panel to go below the rear window and above the back wheel on either side.

I've messaged the Bust Rallies team twice now, requesting they send a copy of their logo so we can add it to another 100x30 mm sticker for the rear, but haven't heard anything back. I might need to try a different tack. Will they respond if I threaten to pull three cars from the event? Helmets.

I might request another, smaller '27' for the boot too. Once the fundraising page is set up, I'll ask the Colour Create team to produce a sticker with the VR code that links to this website's CHARITY page, which in turn links to the JustGiving page where people can donate.

With the Abarth littered with stickers, logos and branding, it will definitely look like a little rally car. God, I'm excited now!!!
