219 REAL REAL REAL...

Oooh, an update that has got me all excited! There is news on our design from the guys over at Colour Create, we could have lift off in just a few days. Let me go back to the beginning.

I've been emailing Kevin at the company roughly once a week to request updates and make design changes. I don't want to pester them, but I need to nudge them to keep us on track, for my own sanity more than anything else.

In my last email, I requested a raft of changes, plus additional stickers with the New Start and Bust Rallies logos printed on them. I also wanted another '27' and hinted I'd be in touch with another request for a QR code sticker for the side - I don't want much, do I?

I've rejigged the website to include a JustGiving page, so I have created a QR that takes people directly to it. I even managed to get the little 'A' used as our site's favicon embedded in the centre of the design, which I'm chuffed about.

This was all the excuse I needed to message Kevin and request that it be added to the ever-growing print list. I started the email jokingly, saying, "I haven’t scared you off, have I?" because I hadn't had a reply in a couple of weeks and was starting to worry.

Quick as a flash, I received a reply, "No, LOL, you haven’t scared us off… I am off and back in on Wednesday". <phew> This was quickly followed by another email, which got me giddy with excitement: "I forgot to mention. I do have the material in, so when I am back, we can get on with printing once all is finalised."

Oh my days, it is actually happening! With everything crossed, we might have the stickers by the end of the week/early next week. We will be able to do a fitting/trimming and then get some pictures done. We can also take the car up the motorway for a blast to check the magnets are strong enough, or if we need to purchase some 'just in case' tape.

In the immortal words of Marcus Burnett in Bad Boys II, "shit just got real".
