58 DEFINITELY MAYBE...

Lisa asked Dave how he was getting on in the new Zelda game on the Nintendo Switch - they both love it - and while chatting, she asked if he and Jacky were still up for completing the rally next year.  The answer was definitely maybe.

Dave explained that he really wants to complete the journey but he also really wants to move house too.  Add to this a new addition to the family and the possibility of a new job, and he has more on his plate than a spinster at a funeral (to quote Malcolm Tucker in The Thick Of It).

I hope they can make the journey, but I understand that our jaunt may need to take a back seat.  Life is more important than a daft trip to Europe. 

If they can’t commit to buying an Abarth (understandable), hopefully, they can still make the trip by meeting us in the villa.

In the meantime, I will prepare for the best-case scenario.  I can get the magnetic strips cut to shape and even spray them.  That way, they can wait until the last minute to decide if they can make it, and everything will be ready.
