74 ANOTHER GOOD RUN…

So that is Poole to Liverpool to Loch Lomond to Liverpool again in the last few weeks.  An impressive 700+ miles in a tiny city car, 200 more than the distance from Liverpool to the rally's start in Namur.  

I know the trips were made over different days and with stops along the way, but having completed the three journeys, I'm feeling more confident about the trip, both regarding the vehicles and our ability to complete it physically. 

The Abarth never missed a beat in any journey. It feels solid, planted, and surprisingly powerful - it never fails to bring a smile to my face when I tap the loud pedal, and it shoots off like a scalded cat. 

Okay, so it isn't the last word in refinement, and some of the fit and finish would make a VW designer faint; still, it has personality and attitude, and I love that. 

I felt fine each time we did a long run in the car. I have no broken back or aching legs. Other than a bit of a stretch, I'm good to go.  I'm really looking forward to this trip!!!
