207 MARVEL AT MY FANTASTIC KETTLE...

Hot on the heels of looking to waste more money I don't really have on stuff I don't really need, I've been looking at white watches to complement our uniform for the trip.
By the way, 'kettle' is Cockney rhyming slang for a watch (obviously: 'kettle and hob,' which is shortened to just 'kettle,' originates from 'fob' - a pocket watch - with 'kettle and hob' rhyming with 'fob'). Every day is a school day, boys and girls.
I've got a thing for Casio G-Shock watches as they are well-designed, rugged, easy to use, and fairly cheap. Less than £100 for an iconic timepiece is good value, but another point of view would be to say it is a lot for a plastic-and-rubber digital watch. Everything is relative, isn't it? Whatever.

Casio do a range of white G-Shocks which really caught my eye. They are a tie-in with the Marvel Studios Fantastic Four movie, so they have blue accents which match our scheme beautifully, which is nice. Casio has created a whole site to promote the watches. Click HERE to have a look. Despite the promotion, they haven't been a massive seller by the looks of things, as they are all on offer at the moment, too.
Doing some quick digging, I can find the snappily titled 'Casio G-SHOCK GA-110HDS-7AER White Resin Strap Watch - W17570' (second on the image above) for £90, down from £130. I'm sure if I leave it for a little while, it will turn up with an even bigger discount. I might put it on my nice-to-have list if I end up with any cash left over before we head to the continent.
As we are matching, will I need to buy Lisa a massive, white watch that she will hate? Nope, she has an Apple Watch, so she will just need a white strap for it. Etsy sells them for £15, quite the contrast!
It would be good to have accessories that match our outfits, as the devil is in the details, as the old saying goes. Still, it certainly isn't the end of the world if I'm bouncing around Nice in a black G-Shock rather than a white one. Defo one for the maybe pile.
